DESIGN-BUILD RESPONSIBILITIESThe contractor shall assume full responsibility for design and performance of all HVAC systems includedin this project.Responsibilities include:A. All design calculations, drawings, specifications, and submittals shall be prepared by or under thedirect supervisory control of a Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in the State of Mississippi.Sealed drawings and documents shall be provided as required by Miss. Code Ann. § 73-13 et seq.and for permit approval.B. System sizing verification (Manual J or equivalent)C. Ductwork evaluation and required modificationsD. Electrical load verificationE. Gas supply and venting complianceF. Identification of deficiencies in existing infrastructureG. Inclusion of all required modifications to provide a complete systemH. Minor structural/electrical modifications needed for code-compliant installation are included(major upgrades remain excluded per Sections 12)The contractor shall include all work required for a complete and operational system.Unforeseen concealed conditions may be eligible for change order upon Owner approval.4. EQUIPMENT AND PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTSA. Acceptable manufacturer: Trane or approved equalB. Equipment supports, curbs, and decking repairsH. Refrigerant piping and line set replacement if neededI. System evacuation (minimum 500 microns)J. Charging with manufacturer-recommended refrigerantK. Startup and commissioningL. All systems shall be installed per manufacturer specificationsM. All penetrations shall be properly sealed and weatherproofed6. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTSA.
