Bid Title:	IFB - Demolish Structure

Description: The Town of Douglas invites bids from responsible and eligible contractors to demolish a small single-family residence and associated outbuildings at 19 Main Street in Douglas. Some building materials are known to contain asbestos. The structure is unstable and, therefore, the entire site must be addressed as an asbestos remediation. The work will be accepted as complete when all structural elements, including foundations and slabs, are removed, the property established at grade as determined by the Town, and all materials have been properly disposed of and paperwork completed with the necessary authorities. The Town is utilizing a state budget earmark as part of the funding for this project. The work must be completed by June 30, 2026. Only qualified bidders will be considered. The Town reserves the right to dismiss any and/or all bids if it is in the Town’s interest to do so. Bidders must register with the Executive Assistant to the Board of Selectmen and Town Administrator to obtain a full bid package, which will include the asbestos report, mandatory certifications, and bid forms.
