Summary

The Ketchikan Gateway Borough is seeking a qualified contractor, including all labor, materials, equipment and services necessary necessary to conduct plaster removal and replacement throughout the recreation pool.

Background

The recreation pool at the facility was constructed in 2012 with a proprietary aggregate cementitious plaster finish designed to provide a durable, slip-resistant interior surface. Over time, pool plaster systems experience normal wear, discoloration, and deterioration due to use, water chemistry, and environmental conditions. To maintain the safety, appearance, and long-term performance of the pool, the Owner intends to renovate the existing plaster system and install a new interior finish.
