SummaryThe City of Pasadena is seeking information from qualified vendors, researchers, and technology providers regarding advanced solutions that utilize artificial intelligence (AI), thermal imaging, or a combination of both, to support the early detection of wildfires within the city and surrounding wildland–urban interface (WUI).
The purpose of this RFI is to gather information on available technologies, system capabilities, integration options, costs, deployment requirements, and operational considerations. This RFI is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a commitment to purchase or contract.
BackgroundAs wildfire threats continue across southern California, the City of Pasadena is evaluating innovative tools to improve early detection, situational awareness, and response times. The City of Pasadena aims to assess technologies capable of detecting wildfire ignition or abnormal heat signatures prior to visible smoke development, enhancing both public safety and resource allocation.
