Description:

The City of Hutto, TX is seeking qualified firms to provide comprehensive third-party construction inspection services for public infrastructure and capital improvement projects within the City of Hutto, TX. These services are required to ensure that all construction activities are performed in accordance with approved plans, project specifications, applicable codes, and the adopted standards of the City of Hutto, TX. The selected firm will act as an extension of City of Hutto, TX staff, providing independent and objective oversight throughout the construction process from pre-construction through project closeout.

The City of Hutto, TX anticipates a range of projects that may include roadway improvements, drainage and stormwater infrastructure, water and wastewater system improvements, utility relocations, site development, and other municipal capital improvement projects. The scope of services described herein is intended to cover the full spectrum of inspection and quality assurance activities required to protect the public interest and verify compliance with all applicable requirements.

Contact Person:
All personnel assigned to perform inspection services under the resulting contract shall possess qualifications appropriate to the nature of the work being inspected. The following minimum qualifications are anticipated:
- Demonstrated experience in the inspection of public infrastructure construction projects, including roadways, water, wastewater, and drainage systems
- Applicable certifications relevant to the type of work being inspected, which may include certifications from recognized professional organizations in the areas of construction inspection, materials testing, and quality assurance
- Familiarity with Texas Department of Transportation standard specifications and construction practices as they apply to local roadway projects
- Knowledge of The City standards, specifications, and development regulations
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, geotechnical reports, and technical documents
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to project sites within the City and surrounding jurisdiction
- Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary to interact effectively with contractors, developers, engineers, and The City staff

1.1 Executive Summary
The City of Hutto, TX is seeking qualified firms to provide comprehensive third-party
construction inspection services for public infrastructure; capital improvement projects;
street and transportation projects, water and wastewater projects (including
wastewater treatment plant projects), within the City of Hutto. These services are
required to ensure that all construction activities are performed in accordance with
approved plans, project specifications, applicable codes, and the adopted standards of
the City of Hutto. The selected firm will act as an extension of the City staff, providing
independent and objective oversight throughout the construction process from pre-
construction through project closeout.
The City of Hutto, TX anticipates a range of projects that may include roadway
improvements, drainage and stormwater infrastructure, water and wastewater system
improvements, utility relocations, site development, and other municipal capital
improvement projects. The scope of services described herein is intended to cover the
full spectrum of inspection and quality assurance activities required to protect the public
interest and verify compliance with all applicable requirements.
The City of Hutto will consider qualifications from business entities that demonstrate
the ability to complete the Project within the guidelines of this solicitation, following all
applicable federal, state, and local rules, laws, and regulations and the terms and
conditions contained in Exhibit B. Respondent must execute Exhibit A and complete
other items listed on the Submission Checklist to be considered for award.
