Description: The Project consists of renovations to the exterior of the Tomb House in Edgell Grove Cemetery.  This scope includes work on the exterior envelope, including but not limited to masonry repairs, door repairs and repainting, exterior storm windows, slate roof replacement and repairs to the roof structure, new gutters and downspouts, and a new entry door with side lights.   Also included in the scope is the demolition of the existing slate roof, parts of the roof structure, and gutters and downspouts, and some removal of concrete blocks.  The work also includes allowances and unit prices.  Add Alt 1 includes repair work in the basement to support the of the first floor structure. DCAMM Certification is required to bid on this project; General bid certification category is Filed Sub-Bids shall be included for the following trades: Roofing and Flashing Masonry Metal Windows In order to be eligible and responsible to bid on this project, General Bidders certified in General Building Construction and/or Historical Building Restoration and Filed Sub-Bidders shall submit with their bid a current Certificated of Eligibility for Roofing and Flashing, Masonry and Metal Windows, issued by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance, DCAMM (formerly the Division of Capital Planning and Operations, DCPO), together with an Update Statement. Sealed filed sub-trade bids for Roofing and Flashing, Masonry and Metal Windows must be received no later than 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 14, 2024 via the Vendor registry portal https://vrapp.vendorregistry.com/Vendor/Register/Index/city-of-framingham-ma-vendor-registration Bids must be submitted electronically through the City’s Vendor Registry system.  Bids submitted through any other means, such as mail, email or hand delivery, will not be accepted and will be rejected by the City as non-responsive. Sealed bids for the General contract shall be submitted in strict conformance with the bid document and will be submitted electronically through the City of Framingham’s Vendor Registry portal https://vrapp.vendorregistry.com/Vendor/Register/Index/city-of-framingham-ma-vendor-registration no later than 10:00AM on Friday, December 6, 2024 . Bids must be submitted electronically through the City’s Vendor Registry system.  Bids submitted through any other means, such as mail, email or hand delivery, will not be accepted and will be rejected by the City as non-responsive. A Non- Mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at 2:00 PM.  Bidders will meet in the entrance of the Edgell Grove Cemetery Tomb House located at 53 Grove Street, Framingham, MA 01701 . The City reserves the right to reject any and all submissions, to waive any minor informalities & technicalities, or to cancel the bid if it were in the public interest to do so.
