The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) intends to enter a onetime agreement with Qiagen LLC to purchase reagents required for the Newborn Screening lab's assay for Severe Combined Immunodeficiency (SCIO), Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) and to validate a new addition to Newborn Screening test panel for Congenital Cytomegalovirus (CMV).

This has been deemed a single source as Qiagen LLC is the only supplier that can provide these validated reagents. These reagents are not available through any other party.
