Description: ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS SEWER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS HENDERSON WATER UTILITY HENDERSON, KENTUCKY Separate sealed BIDS for the construction of Sewer System Improvements for the Henderson Water Utility will be received at the Henderson Water Utility Systems Operation Center located at 1383 Commonwealth Drive, Henderson, Kentucky 42420 until Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. Central Time, and then at said time and place will be publicly opened and read aloud.  Bids being mailed should be sent to Bart Boles, General Manager, Henderson Water Utility, Systems Operation Center, 1383 Commonwealth Drive, Henderson, Kentucky 42420, and the bidder shall be responsible for timely delivery.  The work will be completed in one (1) contract as follows: CONTRACT 24-01 PRESIDENTIAL SEWAGE PUMPING STATION ELIMINATION • Installation of approximately 1152 L.F. of 12-inch PVC Gravity Sewer via Open-Cut • Installation of approximately 177 L.F. of 8-inch PVC Gravity Sewer via Open-Cut • Installation of approximately 129 L.F. of 12-inch DIP Gravity Sewer via Open-Cut • Installation of approximately 245 L.F. of 30-inch DIP Steel Casing via Bore • Installation of approximately 255 L.F. of 12-inch RJDIP via Bore • Approximately 6 precast Manholes The allotted time for construction of Contract 24-01 is 90 calendar days.  Liquidated damages for non-completion are $1,000 per calendar day. A mandatory virtual pre-bid conference will be held for bidders on Monday, January 6, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. Central Time and must be attended by representatives of each prospective bidder. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities, and to negotiate with the apparent qualified best bidder or bidders to such extent as may be necessary. No bidder may withdraw his bid for 90 days, while the Owner considers the bids.  Mutually agreed upon time extensions may be made if necessary.
