Description:

The City of Independence, Kansas is requesting proposals from qualified licensed electrical contractors for the replacement and installation of electrical service equipment at Riverside Park.

Remove and replace the existing electrical service with a new 400-amp electrical service.

? Install a new exterior-rated, lockable disconnect.

? Install a new outdoor-rated, lockable 40-space breaker panel and new breakers. Re-connect existing power service in the breaker panel and restore all current circuits in the new panel and test.

? All equipment and installation methods shall comply with the 2020 National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local, state, and utility requirements.

Provide and install underground electrical service from the new panel 400 amp panel to the park office located approximately 60 feet from the service location.

? Contractor shall bore underground service to minimize surface disturbance.

? Install conduit, conductors, and all necessary connections to provide electrical service to the park office building with an exterior disconnect for the building.

? Restore all disturbed areas to original condition.

Qualifications:
Contractor must hold all required licenses for electrical work in the City of Independence Kansas.
? Contractor shall provide proof of insurance, including general liability and workers compensation coverage.
? Contractor shall be responsible for all job site safety and traffic/pedestrian control if necessary.

The City of Independence, Kansas is requesting proposals from qualified licensed
electrical contractors for the replacement and installation of electrical service equipment
at Riverside Park.
Scope of Work
The selected contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, permits,
supervision, and incidentals necessary to complete the following work:
1. Electrical Service Replacement
Remove and replace the existing electrical service with a new 400-amp electrical
service.
Install a new exterior-rated, lockable disconnect.
Install a new outdoor-rated, lockable 40-space breaker panel and new breakers.
Re-connect existing power service in the breaker panel and restore all current
circuits in the new panel and test.
All equipment and installation methods shall comply with the 2020 National
Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local, state, and utility requirements.

All work shall comply with the 2020 National Electrical Code (NEC), federal,
state, and local regulations.
Contractor shall coordinate utility disconnects and reconnects as necessary.
4. Contractor Requirements

Independence Kansas.
Contractor shall provide proof of insurance, including general liability and workers

5. Proposal Requirements
Proposals shall include:

Estimated project timeline

6. Project Timeline
The City anticipates work to begin within 14 days of contract award and be completed
within 30 calendar days. Project timeline may be amended to accommodate time
required for acquisition of materials.

8. Reservation of Rights
The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive informalities, and accept
