Overview

Summary

The City of Aurora is seeking a qualified contractor to remove three inactive underground storage tanks (UST's) at the former Central Maintenance Garage located at 720 N. Broadway. These tanks, which include one (1) 20,000-gallon diesel UST and two (2) 20,000-gallon gasoline UST's, shall be removed in accordance with the requirements of the Illinois Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST) Program as well as all pertinent federal and state guidelines and the Special Provisions (contained herein) and Project Specifications (attached).

Background

To date, the City has retained consultants to perform a handful of Environmental Site Assessments including a Phase I ESA and ongoing Phase II services by Fehr Graham. The results of the Phase I ESA are included with this bid request. The proposed scope of ongoing services for the Phase II ESA, which includes a summary of the background of the site and UST's, is also included.
