General Notice

Dalton-Whitfield Solid Waste Authority (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:

Old Dixie Highway MSW Landfill Pipe Replacement

Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the Old Dixie Highway MSW Landfill located at 587 Gazaway Road, Dalton, Georgia 30721until Friday,December 23 ^th , 2024 at 2:00 pm local time. At that time the Bids received will be opened and read publicly.

The Project includes the following Work:

The Project consists of providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, services, and incidentals and performing all Work including removal of existing pond outfall structures, and 2 storm drains; installation of 3 new pond outfall structures with associated piping, and approximately 85 linear feet of 30” HDPE storm drain; and slip-lining an approximately 140 liner feet existing storm drain; and erosion and sedimentation control items

Bids are requested for the following Contract: Old Dixie Highway MSW Landfill Pipe Replacement The Project has an expected duration of 120 days.

Bid Documents are made available for the sole purpose of obtaining Bids for completion of the Project and permission to download or distribution of the Bid Documents does not confer a license or grant permission or authorization for any other use. Authorization to download documents, or other distribution, includes the right for plan holders to print documents solely for their use, and the use of their prospective Subcontractors and Suppliers, provided the plan holder pays all costs associated with printing or reproduction. Printed documents may not be re-sold under any circumstances.

Bidders may register as a plan holder and obtain complete sets of Bid Documents from the Issuing Office. Bidders may rely on sets of Bid Documents obtained from the Issuing Office are complete, unless an omission is blatant. Registered plan holders will receive Addenda issued by Owner.

Electronic Documents

Bid Documents will be provided in Adobe PDF (Portable Document Format) (.pdf) that is readable by Adobe Acrobat Reader Version 2017 or later. It is the intent of the Engineer and Owner that such Electronic Documents are to be exactly representative of the paper copies of the documents. However, because the Owner and Engineer cannot totally control the transmission and receipt of Electronic Documents nor the Contractor’s means of reproduction of such documents, the Owner and Engineer cannot and do not guarantee that Electronic Documents and reproductions prepared from those versions are identical in every manner to the paper copies.

Pre-bid Conference

A mandatory pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on Tuesday, December 10 ^th , 2024, at 11:00 AM at Old Dixie Highway MSW Landfill 587 Gazaway Road, Dalton, Georgia 30721. Bids will not be accepted from Bidders that do not attend the mandatory pre-bid conference.
