Contact InformationType Invitation to Bid - Construction Status Issued Number 26-012 (2026 Resurfacing Program) Issue Date & Time 2/20/2026 01:54:34 PM (CT) Close Date & Time 3/12/2026 03:00:00 PM (CT) Question Cut Off Date 3/9/2026 10:00:00 AM (CT) Notes The City of St. Joseph, Missouri is seeking sealed bids from qualified contractors for: 2026 Resurfacing ProgramBid proposals must be submitted electronically through the City of St. Joseph's electronic bidding system as it helps to expedite the bidding process and alleviate errors. No paper, emailed, or faxed submissions will be accepted.A mandatory prebid conference will be held on February 25, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the General Services Conference Room, at City Hall Room 405. The Work generally consists of milling and resurfacing various streets with asphaltic concrete. Bid will be received on a Unit Price basis with Alternate. Bid security in the amount of Five Percent (5%) is required.The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Maintenance Bond and a Payment Bond on the forms set forth in the Contract Documents as security for the faithful performance of, and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of, the Contract.The City reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including, without limitation, the right to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids, and to reject the Bid of any Bidder if the City believes that it would not be in the best interest of the City to make an award to that Bidder. The City also reserves the right to waive informalities.

Nondiscrimination in Employment. Bidders on this Work will be required to comply with the President’s Executive Order Number 11246. Requirements for Bidders and contractors under this order are explained in the Specifications. No Bid may be withdrawn within a period of Sixty (60) days after the date fixed for opening Bids.Safety TrainingBidders are hereby informed that this project is subject to the requirements of R.S.Mo. 292.675, which requires all contractors or subcontractors doing work on the project to provide, and require its on-site employees to complete, a ten (10) hour course in construction safety and health approved by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration or a similar program approved by the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations which is at least as stringent as an approved OSHA program. All on-site employees must have the required OSHA training completed within 60 days of the date which work on the project commences. Any on-site employees found on the worksite without documentation of the required training shall have 20 days to produce such documentation.Special Needs : If you have special needs addressed by the Americans with Disabilities Act, please notify the City of St Joseph, Summer Deatherage at 816-271-5330 or through Missouri Relay System, TDD 1-800-735-2966, at least five (5) working days prior to the bid opening.Name Project Management Address 1100 Frederick Ave.
