Project Description

East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) is soliciting proposals from qualified consultants to

a) perform an economic feasibility study on a Front-of-the-Meter Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at the EBMUD’s Camanche Raw Water Pumping Plant substation site, and

b) size photovoltaic (PV) plus Behind-the-Meter BESS in compliance with current California Energy Commission Energy Code at four (4) EBMUD-owned facilities.

An optional (non-mandatory) pre-proposal conference will be conducted on Thursday, May 15, 2025 @ 11:00 a.m. PST. Please email angelina.wai@ebmud.com for a Microsoft Teams meeting invitation link.

Please respond to this Request for Proposal no later than 12:00 p.m. PST on Friday, May 30, 2025. The electronic copy of the proposal shall be emailed to angelina.wai@ebmud.com . Hardcopy proposals will not be accepted
