at which time the bids will be publicly open and read in the Office of Procurement. The City of Springfield invites all interested, qualified persons or firms capable of providing the requested services, to submit bids to enter into an agreement to provide improvements to the following Springfield Parks. These bids fall under M.G.L. Ch. 30§39M and other procurement statutes. Bid documents can be requested through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com (during normal business hours) beginning on August 13, 2025.
Bid 26-015 – Blunt Park, 1800 Roosevelt Avenue, Springfield, MA 01109. Project includes installation of sediment & erosion controls, earthwork, drainage improvements, softball diamonds & amenities, fencing, timber guardrail, installation of owner-furnished site furnishings, installation of owner-furnished fitness equipment, and landscaping. Estimated value of the contract is approximately $500,000.00. It is strongly encouraged to attend a site visit on 8/20/25 at 10:00 A.M. on-site.
All questions regarding this bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement no later than August 21, 2025 (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com) in order to be considered. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. MA DLS Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
