Scope of Work:

Complete abatement and demolition of the existing Edward L Pine Middle School building with the removal of all associated site features, including concrete, asphalt surfaces, tennis courts, fencing, monument sign, vegetation, underground utilities, and two (2) storage containers as drawn and specified.

Contractor’s Licensing
It is WCSD's opinion that the scope of work for this project qualifies for the following license groups: General Engineering A, AB or Specialty License A23 if the bidder is performing the majority of the work per NRS 338.139.

If a Contractor would like to seek clarification from the Nevada State Contractor’s Board, then they must do so ten (10) days prior to the bid due date. https://www.nvcontractorsboard.com/

Sealed bids for the Demolition of Edward L Pine Middle School will be received by the Washoe County School District’s (WCSD) Purchasing Department located at the Brown Center 14101 Old Virginia Road, Room #0, Reno, NV 89521, until 2:00 p.m., (Local Time) on July 13, 2026. The bids will be opened publicly via a TEAMS Meeting at 2:30 pm (local time).

There will be a MANDATORY Pre-Bid Meeting at 10:00 am on June 26, 2026, at Edward L Pine Middle School (Meet in front of the Office) 4800 Neil Rd, Reno, NV 89502. If a Prime Contractor attended the original Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting for Bid #26-95-B-04-BC – Demolition of Pine Middle School on May 4, 2026, they are not required to attend this Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting. Due to access and coordination involved in this project we highly recommend that contractors walk the project site that we are making available.

Elevator and Grease Trap As-Built Drawings are included in the Spec Book under Addendum 3.

The Contractor shall complete all site demolition prior to December 1, 2026. The Contractor shall allow for joint access at the Northeast entrance after November 1, 2026, and shall coordinate all activities through completion with Core Construction and Washoe County School District.

Overall Completion Date: January 8, 2027.
