A new culvert and associated structures need to be installed to properlydrain the area upstream of Pine Valley Road for the long term structural soundness of the road.Page 4 of 18LOCATION B: CULVERT UNDER EAST PONCE DE LEON AVENUE AT 1566 SAGEWOODCIRCLE FRONTAGEProject BackgroundThe existing storm drainage system and culvert under East Ponce de Leon Avenue has experienced failuredue to a collapsed conduit under East Ponce de Leon Avenue. A new culvert and associated structuresneed to be installed to properly drain the area upstream of East Ponce de Leon Avenue for the long termstructural soundness of the road.LOCATION C: 5170 EAST PONCE DE LEON AVENUEProject BackgroundThe existing storm drainage system and culvert under East Ponce de Leon Avenue has experienced failuredue to a complete sedimentation of the system. A new culvert and an associated inlet structure need to beinstalled to properly drain the area upstream of East Ponce de Leon Avenue for the long term structuralsoundness of the road.Location Notes1. Abandon the existing system in place and remove existing catch basin structure top to a point ofexisting shoulder grade.2. Install a 30” RCP culvert under East Ponce de Leon Avenue and the multi-use trail.Approximately 120 linear feet of 30” diameter RCP pipe - see accompanying exhibit.3. Install headwalls at each end.4. Install a pedestal top inlet junction box in the shoulder on the north side of East Ponce de LeonAvenue to capture ditch and roadway surface drainage from an uncurbed section.5. Outlet and inlet protection per GSWCC Erosion Control Manual Structural Measure St1.6. Pavement repair of road and multi-use trail to match existing pavement cross section.7. Clean work area.Special Notes1. The city has obtained an easement and right of entry from the cemetery to drain outletting flowonto the cemetery property.LOCATION D: 2241 MOON STREETProject BackgroundThe existing storm drainage system and culvert under Moon Street has experienced failure due to acomplete sedimentation of the system. A new culvert and an associated inlet structure need to be installedto properly drain Moon Street and avoid excessive ponding.Location Notes1. Sawcut roadway and remove the existing conduits, catch basin structures, and headwall,approximately 80 linear feet.2. Install an 18” diameter RCP culvert under Moon Street and an 18” diameter HDPE pipe outfall tothe north. Approximately 35 linear feet of 18” diameter RCP pipe and 45 linear feet of 18”diameter HDPE pipe - see accompanying exhibit. Match existing elevations.3. Install headwall at downstream end.4. Install catch basins on each side of Moon Street.5. Outlet and inlet protection per GSWCC Erosion Control Manual Structural Measure St1.Page 5 of 18
