The project aims to enhance functionality, improve efficiency,modernize the appearance of the space, and ensure the kitchen meets current operational, safety, andfacility standards while minimizing disruption to ongoing operationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & GENERAL REQUIREMENTSThe contractor must be properly licensed and insured and experience with similar office orgovernment facility renovations. The contractor shall comply with all applicable federal, state, andlocal codes and safety standards, including OSHA. The contractor must be able to work in anoccupied facility, coordinate with staff to minimize disruption, and manage project schedules toensure timely completion. Responsibilities also include obtaining required permits, maintaining asafe and clean worksite, and properly handling and relocating existing furniture and equipment asdirected.SCOPE of SERVICE. 1. Cabinetry Supply and InstallationContractor shall furnish and install a complete Slim Shaker-style kitchen cabinet package,including all base, wall, specialty, and tall pantry cabinetry as specified below:• 36" Lazy Susan base cabinet (1)• 33" Lazy Susan base cabinet (1)• 36" sink base cabinet (1)• 36" single drawer / 2-door base cabinet (2)• 12" three-drawer base cabinet (1)• 33" three-drawer base cabinet (1)• 36" three-drawer base cabinet (1)• 21" three-drawer 650 base cabinet (1)• 36" two-door base cabinet (1)• 15" trash can base cabinet (2)• 24" x 36" corner wall cabinet (1)• 36" x 36" two-door wall cabinets (5)• 15" x 36" open shelf wall cabinets (2)• 18" x 36" glass-front wall cabinets (2)• 24" x 96" pantry cabinet (1)All cabinetry shall include proper installation, leveling, securing, and alignment per manufacturerspecifications.Trim, Molding, and Finish CarpentryProvide and install all necessary finish materials, including:• 25 linear feet of base molding• 25 linear feet of crown molding• 6" x 96" filler board (1)• 3" x 36" filler boards (3)• 3" x 30" filler boards (3)• 3" x 96" light rail molding (4)All trim shall be installed to ensure a finished, seamless appearance consistent with cabinetrydesign.Countertops• Provide and install custom L-shaped stainless steel countertop, fabricated to fieldmeasurements and installed with proper support and sealing.Plumbing Allowance• Faucet allowance included for selection and installation of standard kitchen faucetassembly.Tile Work and Flooring Preparation MaterialsContractor shall furnish all materials and labor required for tile installation, including:• Porcelain tile allowance (material only)• 50 lb bags of thinset mortar• 25 lb bags of grout• Tile leveling system packs (3)• SDS scaling chisel bit (3) for surface preparation as needed• Pre-taped plastic roll for protection/masking• Painter’s tape (1 roll)• Tile installation accessories as required for proper installationFasteners and Construction MaterialsProvide all miscellaneous construction fasteners and adhesives necessary for installation, including:• 1 box (75 count) Tapcon screws• 1 box (300 count) GRK trim head screws• Caulk tubes (3)• Cabinet touch-up kits (3)• 12-inch masking paper rolls (2)Painting and Finishing Materials• Provide two (2) 1-gallon buckets of paint for touch-up and finish work as required.General Requirements• All work shall comply with applicable building codes and manufacturer installationrequirements.• Contractor is responsible for field verification of all measurements prior to fabrication.• Installation shall include cleanup and removal of construction debris upon completion.• All cabinetry, trim, and finishes shall be installed plumb, level, and securely fastened.•• Ensure all electrical systems remain operational; modify outlets if needed to support newlayout.INSURANCE REQUIREMENTSWithin ten (10) days of Notice of Award, and at all times that this contract is in force, thecontractor shall obtain, maintain, and furnish the City of College Park, Certificates ofInsurance from licensed companies doing business in the State of Georgia and acceptable tothe City of College Park covering:1.Worker’s Compensation-In accordance with O.C.G.A. Title 34, Chapter 9, asamended2.Business Auto Policy-Not less than $500,000.003.Commercial GeneralLiability-Minimum $1,000,000.00/claim$2,000,000.00/occurrence for Personal Injury, BodilyInjury, and Property Damage Liability4.Professional Liability-Not less than $1,000,000.00/occurrenceCopies of these Certificates of Insurance shall be furnished to the City of College Park prior toexecution of the contract. Such policies shall be non-cancellable except on a thirty-day (30)written notice to the City of College Park.1. The CITY OF COLLEGE PARK (and any applicable Authority) will be shown as anadditional insured on General Liability, Auto Liability, and Professional Liabilitypolicies and noted accordingly on the Certificate of Insurance.2.
