Project Description: The project consists of the renovation of a workshop area within the Reading Area Community College (RACC) Warehouse. Work includes selective demolition, new metal framing, insulation, doors and hardware, structural steel modifications for High-Volume, Low-Speed (HVLS) ceiling fans, storage shelving, a walk-in cooler and freezer, resilient wall base, and associated electrical work including lighting, power, controls, data infrastructure, and installation of two (2) HVLS ceiling fans
. PREBID CONFERENCE An OPTIONAL pre-bid conference for all bidders will be held at Project Site on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 10:00 – 11:00 AM, location to be announced via PennBid. 1. A primary focus of the conference is to review project requirements, ask questions, and permit Bidders’ inspection of the existing conditions.

BIDDER'S QUALIFICATIONS Bidders must demonstrate a successful track record in the performance of like work and similar projects. Contractor’s Qualifications Statement, AIA Document A305 and Qualified Contractor Certification Form, shall be submitted with the Bid Form. Bidder/ Contractor/ Manufacturer/ Installer Qualifications and Experience Requirements: 1. Special Qualifications: Specific experience and qualifications requirements are identified for the contractor fabricating and installing portions of the signage installations under the General Construction contract. a. REFER TO INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS, item 1.22. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, a separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder.
