The City of Taylor (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Projects:


Donna Channel Drainage Improvements: This disaster flood recovery project is funded by Texas Water

Development Board (TWDB) and Texas General Land Office (GLO).

Bull Branch Trail and Donna Drive Drainage Improvement: This drainage improvement project is

funded by the City of Taylor.

Travis & Franklin Drainage Improvements: This disaster flood recovery project is funded by Texas

Water Development Board (TWDB).

The project work includes the following:

• Base Bid: Proposed drainage improvements include channel improvements, storm drain

improvements, detention pond improvements, paving repair, trail improvements, and utility relocation.

• Add Alternate 1: Paving and drainage repair.

Note the following contract requirements:

1. This contract is contingent upon the release of funds from the Texas Water Development Board

(TWDB).

2. Any contract(s) awarded under this Invitation for Bids is/are subject to the United States Iron and

Steel (U.S. I&S) requirements of Texas Water Code § 17.183 and/or Texas Government Code, Chapter

2252, Subchapter F, as amended by SB 1289, 85th Legislative Session, as applicable.

3. Required Form and Amount of Bid Security - A Bid must be accompanied by bid security made payable

to Owner in an amount of 5% of Bidder’s maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates) and in the form of a bid bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of

Paragraph 6.01 of the General Conditions. Such bid bond will be issued in the form included in the

Bidding Documents.
