INTRODUCTIONThe San Lorenzo Valley Water District proposes to install a new water main in Brookdale, CA connectingto the South Tanks (located at 169 Sequoia Grove). The proposed main will be installed partially withinroad ROWs and partially cross country.II. PROJECT SCOPE OF SERVICESThe District is soliciting bids for a topographic/boundary survey encompassing the proposed alignment.The proposed alignment is approximately 5,100 feet and primarily runs along paved single-lanemountain roads with several cross country portions over steep terrain. The total surveyed area isapproximately 205,000 square feet.Deliverables for this project include the following:1. Topographic/Boundary survey of the portion of the land identified above and shown on theattached exhibit in both .pdf and .dwg formats.2. Identification of any landmarks and limits of pavement.3. Identification of any parcel boundaries encountered.4. Survey to include 20’ buffer to either side of the survey alignment. Scope to include all treeswithin the buffer which can be reasonably and safely surveyed. Safety is our highest priority andany trees within the survey area that cannot be safety reached shall have their diameter andexact location estimated.The Consultant shall provide internal quality control and quality assurance procedures. Anysubconsultants employed by the Consultant shall be managed by the Consultant.III. SPECIAL CONDITIONSThis project must comply with prevailing wage (per California DIR requirements).Survey requirements (NAVD88 Vertical Datum and 1983 HARN State Plane (CA III) Coordinate System).1’ topographic contours.Easement descriptions are NOT needed at this time. An Arborist report is NOT needed.Onsite work hours are limited to 8AM-5PM.Note that in this area, popular mapping services often misrepresent road locations and extents.Firms can make accommodations to be shown the site by contacting the District’s Engineering Manager,Garrett Roffe, at GRoffe@slvwd.com.IV. Theproposal shall be signed by an individual, partner, officer or officers authorized to execute legaldocuments on behalf of the Firm.3. Proposals to include the following:A. List of Services to be provided, including proposed survey methods and deliverables.B. Completion Schedule, including days on-site and proposed submission of deliverables.C. Compensation Schedule, including billing rates.4. Proposals must be received no later than 3:00 p.m. local time, on or before Friday, February 6,2026.Failure to comply with the requirements of this RFP may result in disqualification.
