At that time, Bid Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud.Note: Late Proposals will not be accepted under any circumstances. Vendors electing to submittheir bid via mail or courier service accept all responsibility for delivery to the ContractAdministration Office by the bid closing time indicated. Thornton is not responsible for lost or latedelivery of bid proposals.Project Description: The Project consists of construction of a traffic signal and accessmodifications on 104th Avenue at the Washington Plaza shopping center. This Project is grantfunded through CDOT. The Engineer’s Estimate for construction is approximately seven hundredfifty thousand dollars ($750,000).An EEO-1 Report must be submitted to the Joint Reporting Committee if the contractor andsubcontractors meet the eligibility requirements (29CFR 1602.7). For additional informationregarding these federal requirements, please refer to: https://www.eeoc.gov/employers/eeo-1-data-collection. Davis Bacon Wages are required to be paid on this Project.The City of Thornton, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964(78 Stat. 252, 42 US.C. §§ 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders thatit will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement,disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids inresponse to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, ornational origin in consideration for any award.Contractors interested in submitting a Bid Proposal for this Project must at a minimum be pre-qualified with the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT). Copies of CDOT’s pre-qualifiedContractor list can be obtained at http://www.dot.state.co.us/Bidding/listings.html.Thornton utilizes the BidNet Direct System (BidNet) in the advertisement and facilitation ofsolicitations.
