Description:

The CITY OF HUTTO (OWNER) is soliciting SEALED BIDS from qualified contractors for Full-depth roadway reconstruction at multiple locations within the City of Hutto. The project consists of the removal of 7 inches of existing asphalt, base, and subgrade and replacement with 5 inches of Type D asphalt and 2 inches of Type B asphalt, including all required traffic control, cleanup, and compliance with City of Hutto specifications.

Base Bid – Live Oak Street - Approximately 3,050 linear feet by 22 feet wide, from Park Street east to shortly past West Street.

Alternate Bid A – Metcalfe Street - Approximately 1,381 linear feet by 22 feet wide, from FM 1660 east toward West Street.

Alternate Bid B – Hutto Street - Approximately 1,718 linear feet by 22 feet wide, from FM 1660 east toward Whitfield Street.

1.1 Executive Summary & Scope of Work
The City of Hutto, a home rule municipality, is soliciting sealed bids from qualified
contractors for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment for the full depth rebuild
of Live Oak St. located in Hutto, TX.
Base bid for Live Oak St., total length to be done is approximately 3,050 LF by 22 LF,
between Park Street going east shortly past West st.. The scope of work includes
removing 7” of asphalt, base, and subgrade, replacing with 5” of Type D asphalt and 2”
of Type B asphalt, and associated traffic control, cleanup, and compliance with city
specifications.

Each BID must be accompanied by Bid Security made payable to the City of Hutto in an
amount of five percent (5%) of BIDDER's total Bid amount in the form of a certified or
cashier's check on a state or national bank or an acceptable Bid Bond issued by a reliable
surety company as a guarantee that the Bidder, if selected, will enter into a contract and
execute the required Performance and Payment Bonds within ten (10) days after notice
of award.
The City of Hutto will consider bids from business entities that demonstrate the ability
to complete the Project within the guidelines of this solicitation, following all applicable
federal, state, and local rules, laws, and regulations and the terms and conditions
contained in Exhibit B. Respondent must execute Exhibit A and complete other items
listed on the Submission Checklist to be considered for award.
