Limit your letter of interest to nomore than four pages. This letter should include a statement to indicate your firm’s understanding of theproject. It should also include any other information which might help us in the selection process, includingkey personnel you would assign to the project and the backgrounds of those individuals, and any sub-consultants you would propose to use, and an indication of your firm’s approach to promoting anddeveloping a diverse workforce. MoDOT is committed to reflecting the diversity of the communities weserve and we expect our partners to do the same. Submit a location/conceptual RES to gather environmental data.x Perform traffic analysis, field observations, and other preliminary investigations to identifyproblems which need to be addressed in the I-70 corridor at each listed interchange, in priorityorder. Such analysis may include potential interstate ramp closure(s) and if the closure(s)could be accommodated with other movements.x Produce Road Safety Study/Audit report with recommended solutions, conceptual design andconceptual construction estimate for MoDOT approval. The recommended solutions willinclude long-term, mid-term and short-term recommendations.x Identify, analyze and recommend mitigation for risk items especially analysis ofenvironmental, utility, right of way or railroad impacts.MoDOT plans to internally design the approved safety improvements for 2 of the interchanges andreserves the right to select those interchanges. Supplemental agreement(s) to be executed foradditional consultant responsibilities to perform for remaining interchanges once programmed forconstruction:x Produce a Conceptual Study Report and Conceptual Cost Estimate.x Work with MoDOT and FHWA to determine if recommended safety solutions will result inan Interstate Access Justification Report (IAJR) or Safety, Operations and Engineering(SO&E) report.x Perform Preliminary Engineering including pick-up topographic survey, boundary survey,roadway design, utility coordination, IAJR or SO&E report (as needed), environmentalservices/permits including noise modeling, and geotechnical investigations.x Preparation of public involvement strategies and content, especially related to interstate accessrevisions or removals.x Preliminary, Right of Way and Final Design services, including final PS&E package.
