Purchase of parts and service for ETR

Description:

Lee County Fleet Management seeks to execute a sole-source procurement for parts and repair services and equipment for ambulances with American Emergency Vehicle custom-built “boxes” by Emergency Tactical Rescue Vehicles (ETR, L.L.C.). Fleet Management currently provides repairs and service to (67) ambulances with the ETR, LLC custom boxes on them. This will increase by an additional seven (7) units that will be delivered by December 2025.

Justification for Sole Source Acquisition:

ETR, L.L.C. provides Lee County with factory authorized and custom parts, repair service and warranty work for American Emergency Vehicles (AEV). ETR, LLC is the only factory authorized dealer for OEM parts for Ambulances manufactured by American Emergency Vehicle (AEV) in use by Lee County. The parts supplied are for repairs needed for the "box" portion of the ambulance which is custom built to Lee County EMS specifications. Lee County has specific specialized requirements for the Ambulance "boxes" and repair parts that can only be obtained by ETR, LLC. This arrangement is justified by Lee County's procurement practices, which recognize ETR, L.L.C. as the sole authorized provider for (AEV) products. This will minimize downtime and support the operational needs of Public Safety.

Recommended Procurement Approach:

For the reason(s) stated above, Lee County Procurement Management intends to utilize the sole-source procurement method to purchase from ETR, L.L.C. to supply the above.
