Algae and submerged aquatic weed treatment program for the Rockefeller Lagoon, located in Rockefeller Park, near the East 105th Street

and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard intersection. Requirements include:

Application of all registered aquatic algaecides and herbicides necessary to provide acceptable control of the algae and submerged weeds in

the lagoon.

Program to begin in spring, approx. April 1 and continue through fall, approx. October 31.

Assessments will be made every two weeks, with appropriate applications to be made on an as-needed basis.

Removal of floating and shoreline debris, and maintenance of overflow device.

Visual inspection of fountain aeration system for proper function, and report of any problems in service visit reports.

The service provider must:

o Possess EPA Permits and all insurances and licenses required by the State of Ohio. Possess a Pesticide Applicators License for Aquatics

issued by the Ohio Department of Agriculture. Copies to be included with bid.

o Have at least three years of experience on similar projects. Documentation of work history must be submitted with bid.

o Be located within 35 miles of the project site and guarantee a response time of no more than 4 hours in case of emergency.

o Notify the City of each inspection and application service visit. Inspection reports should document the date and time of inspection, the

ponds overall condition, and whether any treatment is being applied. Application reports must include the date and time, the ODA Pesticide

Applicator License number of the applicator, and the type and quantity of material applied. These notices should be submitted to the

o Provide cost for full season service as outlined above.

Delivery quoted must be stated in terms of work days after receipt of the order.
