The University of Minnesota, founded as a land-grant institution in 1851, is among the largest public research universities in the country, offering more than 65,000 undergraduate, graduate, professional, and non-degree students a multitude of opportunities for study and research. With more than 140 years of tradition, Gopher Athletics is one of the oldest and most decorated athletics departments in the country. Minnesota was a charter member of the Big Ten Conference, and our teams have won more than 200 conference titles to go with 26 national titles. With 10 indoor and 12 outdoor courts, Baseline Tennis Center is a facility housed within Gopher Athletics.

The Baseline Tennis Center is the sparkling home of Gopher Women’s Tennis. Opened in the fall of 2002, the on-campus facility provides the University of Minnesota with one of the premier collegiate tennis venues in the nation. All home competitions and practices of the Gopher Women’s Tennis are taking place within the venue, and the team receives priority in scheduling.

Aside from the needs of the Gopher Women’s Tennis Team (13%, 3766 HRs/Year), the facility is utilized with hourly rentals (20%, 6226.7 HRs/Year), USTA Leagues (6.5%, 2141 HRs/Year), Lessons Programming (30%, 9608 HRs/Year), Recreation and Wellness (5.5%, 1769 HRs/Year), and Tournaments (25%, 7737 HRs/Year).

Respondents are prohibited from contacting the identified department about this RFP while in process.
