Description: Town of Lincoln INVITATION FOR BIDS Lincoln Water Department Property HVAC Improvements The Town of Lincoln Water Department is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors for the installation of one (1) Hyper-Heat Pump system, with floor and wall-mounted A/C evaporators, as well as (1) Energy Recovery Ventilator unit sized for 4 people. In addition, all existing duct work will be removed and/or replaced as necessary. All accessible ducts will be cleaned or replaced as needed, all seams will be sealed and R-8 insulation applied. Project specifications are listed below. Prevailing Wage Rates apply and are included in the bid specifications. Copies of bid specifications may be picked up at the Lincoln Water Department Office, 77 Sandy Pond Road, Lincoln, MA 01773 Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. They are available for download at the Town’s website: www.lincolntown.org. They can also be downloaded directly at the attached link. A pre-bid walk-through of the site will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 9:00AM at 77 Sandy Pond Road, Lincoln, MA  01773. Attendance at this walk-through is strongly encouraged to ensure you understand the scope of the work. Business Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 - 3:00PM Qualifications: Contractors must possess all appropriate licensing necessary to obtain required permits for specified HVAC units, as required by 781 CMR. Contractors must be able to provide at least three references for work within the past 5 years for the installation of equivalent HVAC equipment. Contractors must have a minimum of seven years' experience in the installation of heat pumps as specified in the IFB. Special Requirements: Bid Deposit - all bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a bid bond, or cash, or a certified check on, or a treasurer's or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company, payable to the Town of Lincoln. The amount of such bid deposit shall be five percent (5%) of the total value of the bid. Payment Bond – If selected as contractor, the vendor will, within ten days (Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded), following notification of selection, provide a payment bond, from a surety company qualified to do business under the laws of the Commonwealth and satisfactory to the awarding authority, in the sum of fifty percent of the contract price, the premiums for which are to be paid by the contractor and are included in the contract price. Miscellaneous: Contractors must apply for and receive any necessary permits prior to starting work with the Town of Lincoln.
