Trent River Boring ProjectThe City of New Bern is soliciting informal bids from qualified contractors for the Trent River Boring Project. Questions regarding this solicitation shall be submitted in writing via email to Josh Poston no later than May 27, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
This solicitation is conducted as an informal construction bidding process in accordance with N.C.G.S. §143-131. Award shall be made to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder.SEALED bids shall be clearly marked: “RFB EL 9608 2026-01 – Trent River Boring Project”

Each bid shall be accompanied by a five percent (5%) bid bond. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price.
The City of New Bern reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities as permitted by law.The City of New Bern encourages participation by Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs).
