MANDATORY Pre-Proposal Meeting:

8/22/2025 at 9:30 a.m. (EST)

There will be a mandatory pre-proposal meeting and site visit scheduled for this project at FORT KING NATIONAL HISTORIC LANDMARK, 3925 E. FORT KING ST., OCALA, FL, 34470.

Proposers are required to attend this conference to obtain important information relative to this Solicitation. All attendees are required to sign-in. Failure to attend and sign-in will result in the Proposer’s response being rejected as non-responsive.


SCOPE OF SERVICES
The City of Ocala requires the services of qualified archaeological firms to provide professional archaeological monitoring, non-invasive survey technology, and interpretive programming at Fort King National Historic Landmark.
Contract Term: The resulting contract will be for an initial term of 2 years.

Renewal Option: Two (2) optional, one- year renewal terms

Escalation: Any price increase for contract renewal will be subject to negotiation as approved by the City of Ocala. In no case will the increase exceed three percent (3%) annually unless there are mitigating market conditions. Prices increases shall be based on the CPI-U and Archaeologist must submit their request for an increase with CPI justification at least 90 days prior to the end of the current term.

Licensing Requirement: Proposer must be licensed as an Archaeologist in the State of Florida to submit a proposal for this project.

Experience Requirement: Proposer must possess 15 years’ experience in providing archaeological excavations, monitoring, mitigation, artifact analysis, cataloging, and technical report writing.

Experience Requirement: Proposer must have experience with Second Seminole War-era, Florida archaeology, forts, and battlefield studies significance. Proposers must provide work history with their submittal.
