Sealed Bid Proposals will be received by the City of Tuscaloosa, at the Council Chamber of City
Hall, 2201 University Boulevard, on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, until 2:30 P.M. local time
for this project, at which time bids will be opened and read.

Pre-Bid Conference: Attendance at the MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference is required in order for
a General Contractor to submit a bid on this Project. The Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the
Council Chamber of City Hall, 2201 University Boulevard, on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at 2:30 P.M. local time.

Project Scope: The scope of work includes the rehabilitation of the existing sewer in the vicinity
of Garner Road within the City of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The work is shown in detail on the
Contract Plans but is generally described for each station as: (1) Mobilization and
demobilization in accordance with Section 01 505 – Mobilization and Demobilization. (2)
Remove and replace four existing air/vacuum release valves (ARVs) on the existing 20-inch
force main from Lift Station 42 with 6-inch combination ARVs. (3) Remove and replace four
existing ARV manholes with four new 5-foot diameter standard flat top manholes and vented
covers. (4) Rehabilitate approximately 19,000 LF of 24-inch/30-inch with cured in place pipe
liner. (5) Rehabilitate approximately 68 manholes. (6) Perform post-rehabilitation CCTV
inspection of approximately 19,000 LF of sewer main.

Award of the contract will be made within fifty (50) calendar days from the date of the bid
opening.

for public inspection at the office of Bryan Gurney, P.E., located at 4010 Reese Phifer Ave,
Tuscaloosa, AL 35401 and plans, specifications and other elements of the contract
documents may be obtained from the office of Gresham Smith, designated as the office of the awarding authority for this purpose, located at 2222 Arlington Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35205.
