Project Description: Tohopekaliga Water Authority (“Toho”), an independent special district established pursuant to Chapter 189, Florida Statutes, by special act of the Florida Legislature, hereby issues this Invitation for Bids (“IFB”) from qualified construction firms with the experience to construct a Booster Pump Station project (the “Project”) all-inclusive of the following:
A. Demolition: includes all activities related to the removal and clearance of existing structures and debris to prepare the site for the construction of the Project.
B. Earthwork and Erosion Control: involves site preparation and earth moving operations for the construction of the project. This includes clearing and grubbing and installation and maintenance of erosion control best management practices. Additionally, earth moving tasks include import and compaction of fill material necessary to establish finished grade.
C. Restoration and Site Work: restoration includes concrete pavements, gravel ground cover, and restoration of any impacted pavement markings, curbing, and/or sidewalks. The work also involves installation of chain link fence around the site with double 8-foot-wide swing gates.
D. Site Utilities: involves all work related to the installation of 16” DI pipe with mechanical joints, including pipe restraints for the proposed and existing water main, isolation valves, bends, fittings, line stops, bypassing system, 16” wet taps, flushing, disinfection, and testing.
E. Pump Station: involves all work related to the installation of the pump station, including two horizontal split case booster pumps (one main and one backup) with a design capacity of 2,500 GPM, suction and discharge piping and connection to the existing water main.
F. Pump Station Electrical: involves all work related to pump panels, wiring, general conduit, junctions and VFDs.
G. Site Electrical: involves all work related to the electrical distribution, including pole riser, primary service, electrical backboard, main distribution panel, site lighting, grounding, coordination between the power company to provide power to the site, connection to power and controls, generator receptacle and pole bases. As well as installation of conduit and wire for communication systems.
