Vehicle Ice Cream  Vending

The Town of Coventry is accepting proposals for vehicle ice cream vending at Patriots Park and Lisicke Beach. The operator of this concession must adhere to the guidelines and boundaries set up in this agreement.

Deadline for request is Friday April 24 th .  Proposals must be returned in a sealed envelope by noon on Friday April 24th, labeled “Ice Cream Sales”, to the Town Managers Office, Town Hall, 1712 Main St Coventry, CT.

Ice Cream Sales Proposal
The Town of Coventry is accepting proposals for vehicle ice cream vending at Patriots Park and Lisicke
Beach. The operator of this concession must adhere to the guidelines and boundaries set up in this
agreement: Deadline for request is Friday April 24th. Proposals must be returned in a sealed envelope,
labeled Ice Cream Sales, to the Town Managers Office at the Coventry Town Hall by noon on Friday
April 24th.
The following requests for proposal are made for furnishing the material/services for the Town of
Coventry, Connecticut.
The undersigned declares that the amount and nature of the materials/service to be furnished is
understood and that the nature of this proposal is in strict accordance with the conditions set forth and
is a part of this proposal, and that there will at no time be a misunderstanding as to the intent of the
specifications or conditions to be overcome or pleaded after the proposals are opened.
The undersigned, in submitting this proposal, represents that they are an equal opportunity employer,

performance of this contract.
The undersigned affirms that they are duly authorized to execute this contract that this company,
corporation, firm, partnership or individual has not prepared this proposal in collusion with any other

been communicated by the undersigned nor by any employee or agent or any other person engaged in
this type of business prior to the official opening of this proposal.

AGREEMENT
1. There will be NO Refunds of bid/proposal amounts due to the closure of the Beach due to health
of the lake water or inclement weather.
2. The vendor can operate this mobile concession May 23, 2026 September 7, 2026.
3. Payment for the contracted amount is due by May 18, 2026. If payment is not received by this
date the contract is terminated.
4. Vendor must follow all town health and vending rules/ordinances.
5. Concessions are limited to ice cream (and like products) and non alcoholic beverage sales.
6. The vendor will have the privilege to enter and park their vehicle at Patriots Park and Lisicke
Beach in a designated parking location determined by staff. No parking in the fire lane.
7. The operator will continue to maintain their vending and health license and certificate of
insurance current with the Town of Coventry and its agencies. A copy will be kept on file with the
Parks and Rec Office.
8. The operator and the areas of vending will be evaluated by the Town of Coventry Police
Department and Town staff.
9. Patriots Park and Lisicke Beach are open Monday Friday 10am 6pm and Saturday and Sunday
9am 7pm, weather permitting. Vendors may only be present in the Parks during these hours.
10. The agreement excludes the Coventry Fireworks Event on Saturday June 27th and Sunday June
28th.
11. The Town shall be held harmless from any liabilities associated with the vendor and/or their
partners.
12. The vendor shall keep areas clean of any debris generated by their operation.
13. The vendor cannot dump trash generated from the concession into any Town/Park receptables
or dumpsters.
14. This permit is only for Patriots Park and Lisicke Beach. Vendor may only sell at those locations in
Town.
15. The Town of Coventry reserves the right to terminate this agreement if areas of the agreement
are breached.
16. All employees of the vendor must provide their name, address, and phone number to the Parks
and Recreation Department. This information will be kept in the vendors file.
17. The Town of Coventry reserves the right to perform background checks on any vendors and
vendor staff using the park for business.
18. The Town of Coventry reserves the right to reject any or all applicants at its sole discretion if
deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Coventry.
19. Vendor must be an equal opportunity employer and not discriminate with regards to race,
religion, color, national origin, age, or sex in regards to this contract agreement.
20. Vendors who are awarded for the 2026 season but violate the agreement will be ineligible to
apply in the 2027 season.
