Description: The City of Charleston (City) is accepting Bid Proposals for construction services for the Central Park Drainage Improvements Project. The City will receive submittals until August 7, 2026 at 2:00 PM at 2 George Street, Suite 2100, Charleston, SC 29401. A voluntary pre-bid meeting will be held on July 27, 2026 at 10:00 AM at the office listed above. The purpose of this project is to improve the drainage and tidal and flood resiliency in the Central Park Road basin on James Island by installing improvements along an approximate 4,250 LF corridor of open channel with upfits at multiple culvert crossings. The Work will include demolition and removal of asphalt roadways, concrete sidewalks, concrete curb and gutter, rip-rap, trees, and storm drain pipe, culverts, and structures; installation of new storm drain pipe, culverts, valves, and structures; grading along the open channel to establish positive drainage; water main and sanitary sewer force main relocations; installation of asphalt paving, concrete sidewalks, and concrete curb and gutter; installation of temporary and permanent erosion control, including rip-rap; traffic control; surveyed as-built record drawings; and more as shown in the Drawings. This project is part of a greater multi-agency project previously completed under separate contracts with Charleston County, the Town of James Island, and SCDOT.
