ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDSSealed bids for the Southwest Dr. and South Culberhouse St. Intersection PedestrianImprovements will be received at the Purchasing Department, Room 421, of the City ofJonesboro City Hall, 300 South Church, Jonesboro, Arkansas until 2:00 P.M. (Local Time)on April 15, 2026 and then publicly opened and read in the First Floor Conference Roomfor furnishing all labor, material, and equipment, and performing all work required toconstruct the Southwest Dr. and South Culberhouse St. Intersection PedestrianImprovements. All Submissions shall be annotated on the outside of the envelope withthe bid number 2026:12.The project consists of adding pedestrian signals to the existing traffic signals at theintersection of Southwest Drive and South Culberhouse Street. Pedestrian crossingmarkings and upgraded curb ramps will be added to tie to the existing sidewalks in thearea.Proposals shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check upon a national or statebank in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price payablewithout recourse to the City of Jonesboro or a bid bond in the same amount from a reliablesurety company, as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and executeperformance and payment bonds within ten (10) days after notice of award of Contract tohim. The notice of award of Contract shall be given by the Owner within sixty (60) daysfollowing the opening of bids.The successful Bidder must furnish a performance and payment bond upon the formprovided in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price from anapproved surety company holding a permit from the State of Arkansas to act as surety, orother surety or sureties acceptable to the Owner.Plans, specifications, proposal forms and other contract documents may be examined atCity of Jonesboro Engineering Department, 300 South Church Street, Jonesboro,Arkansas 72401 and may be secured at the cost of $25.00 Dollars per set from the Cityof Jonesboro, 300 South Church Street, Jonesboro, Arkansas 72401. No refunds will bemade. Any addendum to this bid will be posted no later than 5 days before bid openingby clicking on “Purchasing” at www.jonesboroar.gov.Proposals will be considered on the basis of cost, the bidder's financial responsibility, hisequipment, and his past performance in completing similar work. The City of Jonesbororeserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities, and to accept theproposal deemed to be for their best interest.The City of Jonesboro encourages participation of small, minority, and woman ownedbusiness enterprises in the procurement of goods, services, and construction, either as ageneral contractor or subcontractor.
