The Village of Schaumburg, IL will accept proposals via the Village's e-Procurement Portal, OpenGov https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/villageofschaumburg for 2026 Traffic Signal Cabinet & Controller Upgrades – Final Design to be received no later than Monday, February 2, 2026 , 4:00 pm . Proposals submitted after the specified time will not be accepted.

Background

The Village of Schaumburg Department of Transportation is seeking the assistance of a Consulting Engineer to complete final design of of traffic signal cabinet and controller upgrades at various traffic signals throughout the village.

The type of improvements vary by intersection, but include installation or replacement of the following equipment:

• Battery Backup Systems
• Pedestrian Signal Countdown Timers
• Accessible Pedestrian Signals (APS), including necessary ramp upgrades for ADA compliance.
• Replacement of TS1 Cabinets
• Replacement of Incandescent Signal Heads with LED
