Description: Assumption Parish Police Jury Request for Qualifications: Engineering Services for Gilbert Dupaty Walking Trail Project The Assumption Parish Police Jury (APPJ) is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) from firms interested in providing engineering and design services for the Gilbert Dupaty Walking Trail project. The project consists of constructing a 6-foot-wide concrete walking trail within Gilbert Dupaty Park, located at Daggs Street and LA Highway 70 in Plattenville, Louisiana. The trail is designed to promote health and fitness in the community while also connecting the park to proposed adjacent sidewalks along nearby streets. The pathway will loop through and around the park’s recreational facilities and include distance markers for lap tracking, benches, lighting for security and evening use, and five exercise stations equipped with signage explaining simple exercises and their benefits. A central kiosk will also be constructed to display the rules of the trail and park, ensuring accessibility, safety, and community engagement. This Project, is funded by state funds through line-item appropriation and Federal funds through the LDOT Recreation Trails program. The responses must be received via the Assumption Parish website ( www.assumptionla.com ) or hand delivered to the Assumption Parish Police Jury (APPJ) office located 4813 Highway 1, Napoleonville, LA 70390 on or before the date and time specified in the Schedule of Events. Proposals may also be submitted by certified or registered mail with return receipt requested to P. O. Box 520, Napoleonville, LA 70390 but MUST be received and date stamped as received in the Assumption Parish Police Jury Administrative office no later than the deadline as stated in the Schedule of Events.
