Overview

Summary

The City of Tucson is seeking proposals from qualified offerors to provide badges, medals, coins, and pins for multiple City departments. This competitive solicitation aims to establish a contract that will support the City’s need for high-quality insignia used for identification, recognition, ceremonial, and commemorative purposes.

The Tucson Fire Department (TFD) is leading this effort in collaboration with the Tucson Police Department (TPD), and Public Safety Communications Department (PSCD). While the City does have the ability to award to a single offeror capable of fulfilling all item types, the City reserves the right to issue multiple awards , should that approach prove to be in the best interest of the City.

Background

This is a new solicitation initiative developed to formalize the procurement of badges, medals, coins, and pins for various departments within the City of Tucson. Each participating department has unique needs for these items. For example, badges may be used for officer identification or rank distinction; medals and coins may serve to commemorate milestones or exceptional service; pins may be distributed for internal recognition or public engagement. Offerors should demonstrate the ability to meet a variety of design and material specifications and must be capable of handling custom orders in a timely and professional manner. Offeror flexibility, quality assurance, and customer service will be critical evaluation factors in this procurement.
