SummaryThe City is seeking a responsible vendor to provide an Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (“ICP-MS”, the “Instrument” or “System”) according to the terms, conditions, and specifications of this solicitation.
All qualified bidders are invited to respond to this Invitation for Bids by submitting a bid consistent with the terms, conditions, and specifications stated herein.
BackgroundThe City through its Department of Utilities Division of Water Quality focuses on providing safe and dependable drinking water and reliable wastewater services to its customers. To improve its services to the community, the City is planning to replace its ICP-MS. The ICP-MS is used for analysis of regulatory metals under the Safe Drinking Water Act, groundwater, surface water, and wastewater. Regularly analyzed metals include aluminum, antimony, arsenic, barium, beryllium, cadmium, chromium, copper, iron, lead, manganese, nickel, selenium, silver, sodium, thallium, and zinc. Through the acquisition of the new ICP-MS, the City will be able to provide safer drinking water to the community and better manage its groundwater, surface water, and wastewater while ensuring the City meets or exceeds current and future regulatory requirements.
