The Whitfield County Board of Commissioners will receive sealed RFP’s until 3:00 PM on

Jan 29th, 2026

for RFP#REC2026-001, Fence Replacement.

SPECIFICATIONS (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS):

Material and installation, and disposal of old fence will be included.

Riverbend Park – remove and replace all fence fabric except for outfield perimeter fence.

Fence will be Black Vinyl 6 gauge core on all fence 10 foot or higher,

and 9 gauge core wire for six foot high fence. All gate wire will also be

replaced. (note where backstop padding is in place just remove and do

not reinstall approximately 4 x 21. We will replace with wood. Include

new strong arm double gate latches for drive thru gates. Include eight

extra latches.

Miracle Field – Remove and replace all 4 foot fence fabric. 9 gauge core black vinyl wire.

Replace top rail also. Replace double gate with strong arm double gate

latch.

Contractor will furnish all ties, nuts bolts needed for replacement. (You may salvage old

material if applicable. All old material will be removed by contractor.

Must Supply Documentation of Fence Gauge from manufacturer.

Proposals shall be submitted in a sealed opaque envelope and shall be marked on the

outside with the name of the submitting company, the RFP number, and the words

“Fence Replacment.”. Any deviation from the requirements set forth for the labeling of the bid

envelopes shall result in said bid being returned to the bidder unopened and any such bid shall

not be considered.

Do not call with questions relating to this RFP. Refer to the County Website at

http://www.whitfieldcountyga.com for details and any updates. All communication must be in

writing or via email. Address email correspondence to bechastain@whitfieldcountyga.com. No

verbal or written information which is obtained other than through this RFP or its addenda shall

be binding on Whitfield County. No employee of Whitfield County is authorized to interpret any

portion of this RFP or give any information as to the requirements of this RFP in addition to that

contained in or amended to this written RFP document.

RFP Submittal Instructions:

Vendors are to submit 1 original and 2 copies of their bid.

Sealed RFP shall be addressed to the attention of Brian McBrayer and mailed to Whitfield

County Board of Commissioners, P.O. Box 248, Dalton GA 30722-0248 or delivered to 201 S.

Hamilton Street, 4th floor, Dalton, GA 30720. All bids shall be received on or before the above

designated date and time. Any bid received after this date and time shall not be accepted. Bids

shall be typed or submitted in ink. RFP’s will be opened and read publicly.

It is understood that this contract, if accepted by Whitfield County, is entered into solely for the

convenience of the county and in no way precludes the county from obtaining like goods from

other suppliers upon prior approval of the Whitfield County Board of Commissioners. Such

approval shall be made at the sole discretion of the Whitfield County Board of Commissioners

and shall be conclusive.

Whitfield County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids for any reason, to waive

technicalities, and to make an award deemed in its best interest. Whitfield County shall have

the right to delete a unit item from the bid if necessary or proper in the sole determination of

Whitfield County.
