NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Village of Homewood, Illinois

Time and Place of Opening of Bids:

Sealed proposals for the improvement described below will be received at the office of the Village Hall, 2020 Chestnut Road, Homewood Illinois 60430 until 10:00 A.M., Friday June 26, 2026.  Proposals will be opened and read publicly at 10:00 A.M., Friday June 26, 2026, at the office of the Village Hall, 2020 Chestnut Road, Homewood, IL 60430.

Project Title:

Homewood High Visibility Crosswalk Improvements – Group I

Proposed Improvements:

Improvements shall include high visibility crosswalk striping, signage, and solar powered flashing beacon assemblies, along with the ramp improvements required to bring each into compliance with the applicable Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)., erosion control, traffic control, and other miscellaneous construction items.

Bidders Instructions:

1. Plans and proposal forms will be available electronically only from HR Green, Inc. by contacting Kelly Andrews at kandrews@hrgreen.com (815) 320-7120.
2. Only qualified Contractors will be allowed to receive bid documents and bid on this project. A "Statement of Experience” may be requested in order to receive the Bid Documents. The Village of Homewood reserves the right to only issue Bid Documents to Contractors who are regarded as qualified.
3. All proposals must be accompanied by a proposal guaranty as provided in BLRS Special Provision for Bidding Requirements and Conditions for Contract Proposals contained in the "Supplemental Specifications and Recurring Special Provisions”.
4. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all proposals as provided in BLRS Special Provision for Bidding Requirements and Conditions for Contract Proposals contained in the “Supplemental Specifications and Recurring Special Provisions".
5. Submission of a bid shall be conclusive assurance and warranty the bidder has examined the bid documents and understands all requirements for the performance of work. The bidder will be responsible for all errors in the proposal resulting from failure or neglect to conduct an in-depth examination. The Awarding Authority will in no case be responsible for any costs, expenses, losses or changes in anticipated profits resulting from such failure or neglect of the bidder.
