Requires maintenance of all operations of a community recycling center including opening and closing the facility, assisting with disposal of recycled materials, cleanliness of the facility, directing traffic flow and educating the public on proper recycling procedures.
Duties include but are not limited to the following: Opening and securing the center at the appropriate hours, assisting residents unloading material, general labor to maintain a neat and orderly facility, load debris into appropriate dumpsters, use of hand tools or small engine powered equipment including but not limited to backpack or walk-behind blowers and string trimmers and confirming residency of persons utilizing the center and collection of permits for residents dropping off bulk items.
The schedule for this position is as follows: Monday and Wednesday 7:45 am to 1:45 pm and Saturday 7:45 am to 4:15 pm. Pay rate of $21.31 per hour with paid time-off.
Must be able to read, write, understand and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position.
