Bid Title: One-Ton Chlorine Cylinders
Category: Public Works Status: Open Description: The Town of Amherst is inviting sealed bids for water and sewer chemicals. Invitations for Bids may be obtained by visiting www.amherstma.gov/bids .
Bids shall be submitted no later than 2:00PM on March 23, 2026 to the Town of Amherst’s Accountant’s Office where the bids will be publicly opened and recorded.
The Town of Amherst reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or in part, and to waive minor informalities, when at its sole discretion is deemed to be in the best interests of the Town and to the extent permitted by law.

413-259-3026Download Available: yes Fee: no Plan & Spec Available: www.amherstma.gov/bids Business Hours: M-F 8am - 4:30pm Special Requirements: Delivery trucks shall be equipped with power-drop tail gates and sufficient hose and adapters to make all deliveries. The Town shall be notified forty-eight hours (48hrs) prior to all deliveries. The Town may require samples to be submitted for evaluation. Each bidder shall be prepared to make its chemical available.
Training shall be available, if requested by the Town, on the use, handling, preparation, and safety of any chemical supplied.
For wastewater treatment chemicals, the successful bidder(s) shall provide a professional sales representative who will visit the application site as required for technical assistance.
If any chemical is spilled or put into the wrong storage container, the supplier will be responsible for site clean-up.
Miscellaneous: All prices shall be F.O.B. to the delivery point; there shall be no transport or delivery charges or fuel surcharges. Related Documents: View Document(s)
