Description: For a copy of Addendum #2 to Bid #09-24-25-01, "Fire Training Tower-Fire Dept." click here For a copy of Addendum #1 to Bid #09-24-25-01, "Fire Training Tower-Fire Dept." click here INVITATION TO BID Sealed Bids for Bid No. 09-24-25-01, "Fire Training Tower-Fire Dept.", Danbury, CT, will be received at Danbury City Hall, Purchasing Agent's office, 155 Deer Hill Avenue, Danbury, CT 06810 until 10:00 A.M., October 24, 2024. Prior to the public opening of the bids, any bid submitted may be withdrawn by the bidder if said bidder discovers mathematical or clerical errors in his bid. Any such bid withdrawal may be made without penalty or prejudice. After the bids are opened, all offers will be considered firm for a period of ninety days and no bid may be withdrawn for any reason during that period except for such cause as the City of Danbury in its sole discretion deems sufficient. The Scope of Work provides a general description of the Work required under these documents. The Contractor shall provide all administrative management, labor, equipment, erosion control, site preparation, demolition, materials, construction engineering and layout, excavation, aggregate stone base improvements, fine grading, quality control, as-builts, installation, construction, and compliance testing. In addition, the Contractor shall be responsible for any required permits, connections to existing drainage, meeting and matching adjacent surfaces, protection of existing surfaces and structures, protection of maintaining a clean site, and meeting the requirements outlined herein as more fully outlined in the Contract Documents. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the Fire Training School, 21 Plumtrees Road on October 9, 2024 at 1:00 PM. A bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid shall accompany each bid. A non-collusion statement for Prime Contractors and any addendum acknowledgment must also be submitted at the time of the bid. A performance, labor and materials bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the accepted bid will be required. This is an ARPA funded contract. The contractor must comply with the requirements as specified herein.
