Bid Title: Roundabout Improvements at Highway 61 and Deerwood Drive
Category: Street Status: Open Description: Sealed bids for Federal Project No. STP-3005 (003) "U.S. 61 AND DEERWOOD IMPROVEMENTS” will be received at the City Clerk’s office and addressed to “City of Jackson, ATTN: City Clerk, City Hall, 101 Court Street, Jackson, Missouri 63755,” until 10:00 o’clock A.M. (local time) on the 28th day of August 2025, and at that time will be publicly opened and read. All bids shall be submitted in the form of paper copies.
The proposed scope of work includes constructing a new roundabout at the intersection of U.S. 61 and Deerwood Drive, curb and gutters, sidewalk construction, relocating sanitary sewer, construction of new storm sewers, street lighting, pavement markings, inlet/manhole adjustments, power pole relocation, sodding, and other appurtenances.
Copies of the plans and specifications will be available at the offices of Lochmueller Group , 399 South Spring Avenue, Suite 208 B, St. Louis, MO 63110. Electronic plans are free or the cost of printed plans and contract documents will be $100.00 and is non-refundable. The City of Jackson hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award.”
All bidders must be on MoDOT’s Qualified Contractor List per Section 102.2 of the current version of the Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction including all revisions. The contractor questionnaire must be on file 7 days prior to bid opening.
Contractors and sub-contractors who sign a contract to work on public works project provide a 10-Hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project.
A certified cashier’s check or a bid bond in the amount of 5% shall be submitted with each proposal.
The City of Jackson reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The project will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder.
The DBE Goal for this project is 5%.
No second tier subcontracting will be allowed on this project.
