Scope of WorkWork consists of The Ride program is offered by MBTA and provides door-to-door, shared-ride public transportation to people who can’t use the subway, bus, or trolley all or some of the time due to temporary or permanent disability. This project aims to construct a suitable workspace at 200 Newport Avenue in Quincy to replace the program space currently housed at 1000 Massachusetts Ave, in Boston. Work will include tenant fit-out on the first and second floors of the MBTA-owned property, exterior improvements for an accessible building entrance, an outdoor surface and mobility assessment area with fencing and a new vestibule. Upgrades to the existing 200 Newport Ave facility will be focused on building interior, exterior and systems upgrades necessary for the Ride Mobility Program, and to the necessary building modifications required under a Level II Alteration as dictated by Massachusetts 780 CMR Tenth Edition, Chapter 34: Existing Building Code.
