Sealed bids for BRO-R099 (001), Scotland County Low Water Crossing Replacement, will be received at: 117 South Market Street, Suite 100, Memphis, MO 63555 until 10:00 a.m. on the 3rd day of June, 2026, at the office of the Scotland County Commission , and at that time will be publicly opened and read. All bids shall be submitted in the form of a hard copy.

The proposed work includes the construction of a 123’-8-3/4” long, single span, Prestressed Concrete NU-Girder bridge at 20-degree L.A. skew and 0% grade, located on County Road 963, over the N. Fork of N. Fabius River in Scotland County MO.

Information regarding this project can be found in the “Public Jobs” link on the website. Contractors desiring the Contract Documents for use in preparing bids may also obtain a set of such documents from Drexel Technologies; 10840 West 86th Street, Lenexa, KS 66214, telephone number is 913-371-4430.Bidding documents will be shipped only if the requesting party assumes responsibility for all related charges. Corporate, certified, or cashier’s checks shall be made payable to Drexel Technologies, Inc.Any questions regarding the project, plans, specifications, or bid documents should be directed to Aaron McVicker of McClure, at 660-415-4007.

All labor used in the construction of this public improvement shall be paid a wage no less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages of work of a similar character in this locality as established by the United States Department of Labor (Federal Wage Rates) and Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations (State Wage Rates), whichever is higher.

The Scotland County Commission hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award.

All bidders must be on MoDOT’s Qualified Contractor List per Section 102.2 of the Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, including all revisions. The contractor questionnaire must be on file 7 days prior to bid opening.

Contractors and sub-contractors who sign a contract to work on public works project provide a 10-Hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project.

A certified or cashier’s check or a bid bond in the amount of 5% shall be submitted with each proposal.

The contract, if awarded, will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder complying with the Conditions of the Contract Documents within the Owner’s budget. The Bidder to whom the awards are made will be notified at the earliest possible date. The Owner, however, reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any informality in Bids received whenever such rejection or waiver is in his interest.

No 2nd tier subcontracting will be allowed on this project.
