Introduction & Scope of WorkNOTICE OF INTENTIt is the intent of Region 19 Education Service Center – Allied States Cooperative (ASC) to establish acontract with vendor(s) for Furniture for those procurements made with federal, state, or local funds.Awarded vendor(s) shall perform covered services under the terms of this agreement. Offers shall providepricing based on a discount from a price list or catalog or fixed price, or a combination of both with indefinitequantities. Electronic catalog and/or price lists must accompany the proposal.While this contract specifically covers Furniture, respondents are encouraged to submit any offeringon all products or services available that they currently perform in their normal course of business if itfalls within the original scope of work.If successful, as part of this RFP, the contractor shall be responsible for obtaining all necessary permits,fees, and licenses as may be required by local authorities having jurisdiction. The contractor isresponsible for verifying compliance with local authorities having jurisdiction prior to commencing work.Value Add – ASC is soliciting value added items related to Furniture. All products submitted forevaluation and possible award must be accompanied by the manufacturers’ most currentspecification sheets. Other goods and/or services may be submitted that the proposer providesand believes are an added value to ASC members and potential new ASC members. Failure toinclude necessary information relevant to this solicitation may result in disqualification of the Vendor’sresponse to this RFP.SCOPE OF WORKSuccessful vendor(s) shall have the ability to maintain its quality standards at all times during thecontract period. Potential vendors will have the ability to provide one or more services identified in thelines portion of this solicitation including any value-added services as it pertains to Furniture. All vendorsare encouraged to submit proposals regardless of whether or not they only serve a particular city,county, part of a state, multi-states, or have national coverage. Please indicate the areas you wouldwish to serve in the attributes section of this solicitation. Additionally, proposals that may require localsupport to facilitate their requirements should qualify their proposals in a manner that indicates theconditions under which this agreement would be in the best interest of ESC Region 19 members aswell as the vendor. The vendor can also stipulate which sections of the country they would wish thisarrangement to be facilitated. ESC Region 19 ASC has identified needs and requirements from itsmembership, however, ESC Region 19 ASC at its sole discretion reserves the option to determinewhether or not other commodities shall fall under this contract during its due diligence and evaluationprocess.Special Conditions1. This solicitation is for the purchase and/or installation of furniture and seating: school furniture,science/computer/tech lab furniture, library furniture, office/conference room furniture, healthcarefurniture/seating, seating, and fixed seating. Furniture and seating items for this solicitation mayinclude but are not limited to:• School furniture (chairs, desks, tables, bookcases, lockers, cafeteriatable/bench/booth, portable stages and risers, storage systems)• Science/Computer/Tech lab furniture (desks, tables, chairs, carts, bookcases,workstations, storage systems, stands, lockers, cabinets, safety stations, lab sinks)• Library furniture (bookcases, tables, chairs, nooks, circulation desks, stools, bookdisplays, literature racks)• Office/Conference Room furniture (chairs, desks, tables, bookcases, storage systems,file cabinets, bench seating)• Healthcare furniture/seating (chairs, tables, stools, recliners, treatment tables, examtables, hospital beds, overbed tables, exam tabletops, cabinets, stools, storagesystems, bariatric seating, laboratory seating, phlebotomy seating)• Seating (chairs, benches, booths, stools, sofas, ottomans, loveseat, modular,indoor/outdoor bleachers)• Fixed seating (used in auditoriums, theaters, lecture halls, gymnasiums/stadiums)2. Vendors, if a website is provided as your company’s pricelist/catalog, only items/services that fall withinthe scope of work may be sold/provided under this contract. Any other items/services found in yourwebsite that do not fall within the scope of work may not be sold/provided under this contract.3. Members, if an awarded vendor provides their website as their catalog/pricelist, only items/servicesthat fall within the scope of work may be procured under this contract. Any other items/services foundin an awarded vendor’s website that do not fall within the scope of work may not be procured and willnot be covered under this contract.4. Vendors must specify in their response if they provide installation and any associated costs whenpermits, labor, and other requirements are required.5. By responding, the vendor agrees to provide additional information upon request to any ESC Region19 member requesting demonstrations or complete details before placing a purchase order.6. Vendors who sell directly from the factory but do not provide installation are encouraged to submitproposals due to members wishing to provide their own installation.7. Value added on this contract will include but is not limited to code compliance by vendors in ADA, Fire,Security, Health, and Safety.
