Minnesota IT Services (MNIT), partnering with Minnesota Department of Commerce, intends to renew an agreement with Touchstone IQ, for up to three years. The agreement will provide software maintenance and support, hosting, and license related to the BenchMarking system. The license, hosting, and support maintenance will fulfill Dept of Commerce's need, by state statute, to record large building energy usages.

MNIT and Department of Commerce determined that BenchMarking is the only commercially reasonably available commodity product. This is deemed a single source purchase because this is solely distributed and supported by Touchstone IQ and is not available from other third parties.
