CITY OF POCATELLO
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) – WILDLAND FUELS PROJECT ADMINISTRATION AND FIELD INSPECTIONS

Section I. Introduction

The City of Pocatello (City) invites interested parties to submit Proposals to assist with the City’s Wildland Fuels Project. The project is funded through the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service Western States Fire Management Grant, administered through the Idaho Department of Lands. The City is seeking the services of a qualified consultant to provide project administration and field inspections of the fuel mitigation work that will take place in the City Creek Management Area.

The City, a municipal corporation located in Southeast, Idaho, is issuing this Request for Proposals (“RFP”) and anticipates selecting a firm that has experience working in a local government setting and has familiarity with Federal regulations. Only the firms responding to the RFP will be considered. The City will evaluate responses to select a candidate to negotiate a contract. Once negotiated, the contract term will be valid for a 12-month period with mutually executable options to extend based on the grant term and availability of funding.

This solicitation is being conducted in accordance with the provisions of Idaho Code Title 67, Chapter 28 (Purchasing by Political Subdivisions), the City of Pocatello Purchasing Policies, and Code of Federal Regulations 2 CFR 200. Those provisions are hereby incorporated by reference into this RFP. All contracts must be strictly awarded in accordance with the requirements of the RFP. Section 3, disadvantaged business enterprises, minority owned businesses, and women owned businesses are especially encouraged to apply. If it becomes necessary to revise any part of this RFP or otherwise provide additional information, an addendum will be issued to all prospective Respondents who received copies of the original request.
