Horner & Shifrin, Inc., on behalf of the Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge and Williamson County, is pleased to invite qualified contractors to submit bids for the Crab Orchard Greenway – Section 2 project. The bidding documents, including plans and specifications, are available through the Drexel Plan Room. To be considered a qualified bidder and eligible to submit a bid, contractors must purchase the bidding documents directly from the Drexel Plan Room.

Bids will be publicly opened October 1, 2026 at 10:00am at the office of Horner & Shifrin, Inc. at the address of 410 North Court Street, Marion, IL 62959.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The proposed improvements consist of construction of a new concrete multi-use trail from approximately 0.3 miles west of the intersection of Division Street and Old IL Route 13 to the intersection of Wolf Creek Road/Post Oak Road. Approximately 2 miles of new 10’ wide concrete trail will be constructed, including tree removal, earthwork, grading and drainage items. The total improvement length is approximately 2 miles.
